Pie's

I made a Coconut cream pie on the 21st (last Saturday) and before I thought about taking a picture of it, we had already eaten it... :( But, today I made an Apple pie and I remembered to take a picture!! :)
Here it is:
Isn't it cute!!! after it was done my mom and I decided to make homemade ice cream to go with it. We did, and its awesome. ;) I love to cook! When my sister found out we were cooking, she decided she wanted to too. (she can never make up her own things to do.) And she asked me to help her make some scones so I did. But, I messed it up accidentally and put too much cream in them... she's mad at me. :( I think they are still good, but she doesn't. Now, we are going out to milk because my dad is out of town. Afterwards we are going to eat my pie and ice cream. I cannot wait. ;)

Jude

One of our Cows had a Calf last Saturday night!! Talk about a surprise! I came home from the Spring Dance (An awesome dance that I went to) and went out to the barn with my friend Greta to check on Josie, (The pregnant one) And when we got there she was licking the little cutie like a momma cow should. And of course, I started searching for a name right on the spot! My mom said it has to be a J name because it's mom is named Josie. Sooo, I thought about it, I thought aboutthe name John, (It was a boy by the way) Jeb, James, Jim, Jimmy, And a bunch of others! But none of them seemed to be the right one! I was still thinking about it the next morning at church and had decided on Jack, It was still not my favorite though. :( But at Sunday school we visited the book of Jude. For a second I didn't even catch it! And all of a sudden I burst out laughing. To the surprise of those around me. He He What a perfect name!! Jude. So, the calf's name is Jude. And I must say, He is just adorable! Here's a Picture so you can see his adorableness too:

                                        This is the verse we read from Jude (V.24-25)

 "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy- to the only God our savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forever more! Amen."

We have now officially started syrup season! We have the whole woods tapped and ready to go, and we've been boiling the last four days.... Fun. ;) Now I have the job of fixing leaks and canning the syrup. We are going to be busy with that for a while now. If you ever want to come out and see how it works your welcome to!! :)

The Only Good Kind of Patty is NOT a Cow Patty

The day before yesterday when I was taking care of the chickens, I decided to go out and say hello to the cows cause they looked so sweet. Susan was the only one that was laying down so I sat down beside her and started petting her neck. when after a while it starts to feel kinda wet, like it does when you sit on the ground after a little rain, so I didnt think anything of it. But, when I finally got up I realized I had sat in a cow patty... That was disgusting. Naturally I just scrape it off with my glove and go on with my life. But, I will inform you, when my mom saw my bottom I was not allowed in the house untill I had changed. And that is why the only good kind of patty is not a cow patty. :)

Four days to catch up...

I have not been able to get online for four days now, and I thought I would tell you all the awesome things I have been doing;
First of all, on Monday I made these amazing cookies that tasted terrible, here is what they looked like:
delicous looking right? Not! I cannot cook.

Then on Tuesday, I went to my Art class and started working on painting a big rose. that was fun. The rest of the day I read. I love reading. :)
On Wednesday, I read almost all day,  went to piano lessonsthat night, then went home and read some more. And then I stayed late doing homework that I had waited to do till the day before it was due, And then, I read some more until four thirty in the morning. that wasnt smart of me, huh?
Then Thursday I went to co-op and dissected a perch. That was SO....Utterly...Awesome!! And I cut my finger on its anterior dorsel fin. that was fun too. Just Kidding. Then, I spent an awesome day with Valerie Augsburger watching Jane Eyre and eating all thier food. ;) And then went to quiz practice and stunk the Jones' house up with my awful quizzing abilities. Haha
And today, (Friday) I went to our church for Ginger Taft's Funeral service. That was very sad.
Well, thats all that has been happening with me. Now that Ive caught you up I want to share this verse:
                  Send forth your light and your truth,
                         let them guide me;
              Let them bring me to your holy mountain,
                  to the place where you dwell.
                                                                       Psalm 43:3

Amen.

My first entry... Ever!

This is my first blog entry in my Blob! I'm very excited, and I know you are too!
 Now, you may be wondering why I called it "Sarah's Blob" and not "Sarah's Blog". It's a long story. An since we both have time... (You obviously have some time on your hand if your reading my blog, I mean really, go dig a hole if you need something to do!) I was standing in the hall at the church we have our home-schooled Co-op at, and my friend Valerie was telling me about her new blog, (http://www.valliesveryownpersonalblogspot.blogspot.com/) and I was very excited about and said, "I want to start a blob!" Then we both laughed hysterically and I decided to call my blog a blob. so... there you have it, the reason it's called a Blob. I hope you enjoy the nonsense filled posts that are soon to come!
